Who operates Wixper
Wixper is operated by Jimmy Production. Jimmy Production is the data controller for personal data handled through the service.

Information handled during a session
Guests do not create accounts or provide an email address. Wixper generates a guest identity for each session.
Only the information needed to connect and run the current session is processed:
- the generated guest identity for the current session;
- chat messages while they are being relayed to the matched person;
- technical connection information needed to establish the session and call signaling;
- the connecting IP address long enough to resolve a two-letter country code in memory using an offline dataset; and
- audio or video media sent directly between participants, or through an encrypted relay when a direct connection cannot be established.
Chat, identity, and connection records
Chat content is relayed through server memory and is never written to disk. The Wixper application writes no logs of messages, guest identities, or connections.
The country code derived from the connecting IP exists only on the in-memory session object. The application does not log or store the connecting IP.
Audio and video
Audio and video use a peer-to-peer connection. Media does not pass through the Wixper application server when a direct connection is available. If a direct connection cannot be established, Wixper uses an encrypted relay to carry the media stream.
Setting up a call requires the two devices to exchange network addresses. The person you are matched with therefore receives your IP address, and you receive theirs. This happens whether the call connects directly or through the encrypted relay. Wixper does not see, log, or store that exchange. An IP address does not identify you by name, but it can indicate your approximate location.
Server access logs
The web server keeps limited access logs for operation and security. These logs anonymise the client IP by removing the final octet and rotate after 14 days.
Web-server access logs are separate from the Wixper application. They do not contain chat messages, guest identities, or a record of who was matched with whom.
Cookies and analytics
The current Wixper application does not set cookies. Wixper does not currently run analytics.
Wixper uses browser local storage to record that you have acknowledged the age and consent confirmation. The stored record contains only a consent version identifier and a timestamp. No chat content, personal information, or session data is written to local storage.
Why information is processed
Transient session information is processed to provide the chat and calling service you request. Limited anonymised web-server records support the operation, security, and availability of the service.
Where the GDPR applies, these purposes rely on providing the service at your request and Jimmy Production’s legitimate interests in operating and securing Wixper with the least data reasonably necessary.
Retention
- Chat messages, guest identities, application connection records, and in-memory country codes are not retained after the session ends.
- The Wixper application writes no message, identity, or connection logs.
- Anonymised web-server access logs rotate after 14 days.
Who receives what you send
The person you are matched with receives the messages and media you choose to send. Do not share personal information that you do not want that person to know.
Your GDPR rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to the data-protection supervisory authority that applies to you.
Because Wixper does not retain application-level session data, there may be no message, identity, or connection record to access, erase, or export after a session has ended.
